As Akamai.com was going through a website revamp in 2021, much of the styling was being overhauled. One major change was how they used Akamai’s already defined colors into track colors specifically for security, edge / edge compute, delivery (CDN), and simply their foundation. In order to define a color for each track, it needed to have a defined reason and purpose, and with that came research to create a “color manifesto”.
I completed a full competitor analysis, researched color theory and psychology, as well as created a full presentation and written reasoning of my findings.
